Forecast Upload Service
Our team of highly-qualified experts support the preparation of financial figures (BS, P&L, Notes) related to Forecast (FC), Budget (BUD), and Mid Term Planning (MTP) events and then the data upload process (BS, P&L, Notes) to the reporting tools (i.e. Tagetik – corporate reporting & consolidation system or OneBW – company reporting/ controlling tool).
It’s important to mention that our services are covering also inter-company reconciliation for FC/BUD/MTP events, analyzing and resolving validation errors including the proposal of adjustments as well as reviewing the Corporate requirement to ensure the reporting package is delivered according to most up to date Group expectations.

MAG Finance Reporting

Internal Collaboration Agreement (ICA)
HQ ICA Team accelerates business results through collaboration and joint business planning with suppliers. The service provided is to grant supplier access to a global customer community of 4 leading European trading groups. We support in global and strategic programs delivering sustainable results, joint profitable growth to METRO Group as well as its suppliers. The tools being used are MS Access, Merchandise Management System (MMS), Bonus settlement (BS) Tool and IPT (International performance tool) with JAVA as platform.
Business Intelligence Reporting (Master Data)
Business Intelligence (BI) reporting team works with Head Quarters Master Data team to improve data quality of Customer, Supplier, and Article Master Data. We also provide solutions and new ideas to provide better data views for 23 METRO Cash and Carry (MCC) countries. Team has working knowledge across different technologies like MicroStrategy, MySQL, Oracle, Teradata, Python, VBA and QlikView.

Our service portfolio includes Corona Daily Sales Tracker, Monitoring & Maintaining Systems & Reporting, Perform Administration, Exchange Rate Reporting, User Management, Transformation of Data and Report Automation across MAG Controlling teams.
• Corona Daily Sales Tracker:
This reflects the daily sales development in EUR and Local Currency across countries with comparison - Daily, Monthly, Food, Non-food vs Previous Year day sales at Total, HORECA, Trader and SCO segments. The report is consumed by Operating board, Regional Controlling, Group Controlling, CEO and CFO.
- Prepare and review the reports across Datamart and Perform application data to ensure correctness
• Monitoring & Maintaining Systems & Reporting:
Ensuring Data from all the countries is correctly uploaded into One BW (MCC Country & Corporate) and Tagetik Systems as per Reporting Events.
- Monitoring interfaces as per calendar across - One BW BT1, BE1 and Tagetik tools.
- Analyzing the Data between Tagetik and One BW for quality check and accuracy
- BI Dashboard monitoring
- Monthly system closing & opening for all the reporting events
• Perform Administration:
Our management needs timely and accurate daily information regarding operational KPI’s such as Sales, Stock, Customers, Operating Profit, Shrinkage for all countries based on MDW daily data-marts in 4 Main dimensions Timeline, Stores, Assortment, Customer.
- Perform Daily Monitoring Activities – Administration of daily import for all the countries and to ensure there are no Metadata mapping errors and content deviation error, to check data-marts are successfully run. To raise a concern in case of any deviation between Invoice line and GM sales Data and MDW data and Data-marts data. Perform Month-end Activities
• Exchange Rate Reporting
- Actual and Forecast Exchange - Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly reporting of (Current and Average) Exchange rates for all the countries and check with Treasury teams exchange rates, also show the exchange rate development trend for a period and publish on United Portal

- BE1 (Providing access to the users as per their request and unlocking)
- BE1 SAP System Measurement

• Transformation of Data and Report Automation:

- Standardization of Data set
- Restructuring of Data on a new Hierarchy (Factbook, BigFile Database, BigFile Report, Operational KPI)
- Transformation of Traditional reporting into new model of reporting using Macros, Pivot, MS Access (Factbook, Customer Metrics)
- BEX Query Modification in Query Designer to create well-structured input data set.

Our service portfolio includes-
• Contract Management & update database:
- Contracts upload - Upload Contract and update contract terms in Merchandise Management System (MMS) Bonus settlement (BS) Tool, which is our central tool.
- Original invoices – To send original invoices to supplier via emails
- Payment reminders – Send payment reminders to suppliers whose payment is delayed as per the payment terms.
- Turnover collection and upload – Collect turnover every quarter from supplier and upload it to IPT (International performance tool).
- Weekly database update – Download reports from MMS BS tool and update into the database. Update all the files and distribute to collaboration drive to specific food category folder.
• New Report Development:
Develop new reports as per customer’s requirement and SQL queries in database.

Our service portfolio includes Monitoring, Creation and Modification of Supplier, Customer and Article Scorecards. We calculate Fill-Rates and data quality scores for all 23 METRO Cash and Carry (MCC) countries and share with countries. Data are extracted from Master data warehouse (MDW), SAP FI system and METRO Information Supplier Chain (MISC).
• Monitoring Daily Interfaces:
We monitor the data interface process, wherein data gets extracted from Teradata Database and gets uploaded into respective country QlikView files. This data is then referred by the end users of all MCC countries.
- Data from Database and MISC gets interfaced to QVD (QlikView data) files daily during night run.
- These QVD files are imported to QlikView Dashboards.
- End Users can access these QlikView dashboard through QlikView access point.
• Scorecard Creation:
Monthly data quality scores are calculated and shared with MCC countries.
- Extract updated data from Teradata Database, SAP FI system and MISC and then upload into QlikView Dashboards of respective countries.
- Export the data from QlikView dashboards and create the cross-country template in Excel, which shows the data quality report for all countries.
- Prepare Store wise Customer Data quality scores.
• Modification:
We process the requests received from HQ Master data team for modification in dashboards like add new calculation for a particular attribute of customer or article or supplier in Dashboard.
- Modify the QlikView script in backend
- Change the frontend QlikView calculation as per the request.
