The BSC team commenced work in the the beginning of 2020, with a goal to create a standard and modular architecture for the FSD program, which enabled different METRO countries to identify their priorities. With this step complete, it also navigated them towards profitable and efficient FSD operations. The blueprint created is linked with other related key initiatives, broad enough for all countries, and at the same time deep enough to respond to the nuances of individual markets.
Our team at BSC has been supporting the program with holistic services including:

Our Journey at Phoenix
Phoenix is one of the largest transformation programs at Metro. It focuses on the improvement, change management and standardization of business processes in IT, and forms an important part of our core business and New Ways of Working initiative.

The main objective for Phoenix is to integrate end-to-end impact across the entire value chain and operations framework. This is done through creation of simplified, standardized and harmonized processes – all of which run on a state-of-the-art execution platform.
Phoenix organizes itself around value streams - composed of subject matter experts, solution experts and strategic advisers. The objective and arcitecture of the program places our skillset and experience right into its core.
The BSC team supports Phoenix value streams with our experienced Black Belts who drive the program to structure, design, prepare, facilitate, and conduct co-creation workshops and bring in the methodology expertise for project management and process design. Our support also extends to the change management dimension of the program: all process work is supported by our communication experts, which ensures that the program is continuously in sync with other initiatives and stakeholders. Our successful partnership with Phoenix program will continue during the process design validation with countries.
Our Journey at MCC India
The BSC team commenced work with a goal to create a standardized process pan India and optimize the processes. Later the scope was expanded to Digital transformation of processes in MCC IN.

The BSC team has completed an end-to-end As-is mapping for 7 Main cash processes (45 sub-processes) and designed To-Be processes for improved efficiency. Similarly, BSC has completed As-Is mapping for FSD processes (10 sub-processes) and 3 processes (52 sub-processes) for Store operations processes. More than 1200 hours of project delivery have helped deliver a roadmap to process documentation, process standardization and 44 FTE worth manhour saving opportunities.

Our Journey at MGBS Forecasting
The BSC team initiated a project to automate the quarterly forecasting activity conducted by MGBS Pune team. The tasks include estimating the headcount requirement over the fiscal year, various types of costs line CAPEX, OPEX and Personnel. Post assessing the costs, they need to be spread over the revenue generating areas to arrive at probable billing numbers.
Our team developed a VBA based portal which automated the entire forecasting task, most importantly giving admin the rights to control the changes in the users, teams and base costs to be allocated. It also provides an automated email option, reminders, completion status update and export function.

Our Journey in Italy Salesforce
The BSC team has completed automation of monthly sales planning conducted by Italy FSD and Cash & Carry teams. The sales team comprises of around 300 sales representatives, area managers, regional sales managers, and the Head Office. Prior to the automation that BSC enabled, this task was performed manually on MS Excel and communication mails.
BSC developed a web-based portal which automated the entire sales planning activity from target upload to reporting dashboards. The automation helped the sales team to eliminate delays, improve accuracy, eliminate redundant email communication, and provide a dedicated storage to retrieve past information.
